I. Intelligent Measuring Station

Function: Replaces traditional manual measurement by using sensors to automatically and quickly measure glass after it is loaded.

Workflow:

Glass enters the measuring station.

Sensors automatically obtain the glass's length, width, diagonal, and other dimensional data.

Data is transmitted in real-time to the main control system (PLC).

Advantages:  

High Precision: Eliminates human measurement errors, achieving accuracy of ±0.1mm or higher.  

High Efficiency: Completed instantly without occupying production cycles.  

2. Full Servo Feed System & Auto Compensation  

The Intelligent Measuring Station sends glass dimensions to the PLC.  

The PLC commands the servo motor to precisely position the glass at the grinding starting point.

During the grinding process, the servo motor automatically adjusts the feed rate based on the wear of the grinding wheel, ensuring that the grinding depth and force remain constant even as the grinding wheel shrinks.  

Advantages (“Auto Compensation for Peace of Mind”):  

Consistency: Ensures that the grinding results for the first piece and the 10,000th piece of glass are completely consistent.  

No intervention required: Operators do not need to frequently stop the machine to adjust the grinding head position, significantly reducing labor intensity and skill requirements.

Reduced waste: Maximizes grinding wheel lifespan until complete consumption, avoiding glass scrap caused by inaccurate compensation.  

3. Air Floating Polishing System  

【Uniform pressure, consistent results】:  

Principle: Traditional rigid feed systems may cause polishing pressure fluctuations due to minor track errors or uneven glass edges. The air-floating system creates an “air cushion,” allowing the polishing wheel to flexibly conform to the glass edge.  

Effect: Regardless of minor undulations or sharp edges on the glass, the polishing wheel applies uniform and constant pressure, thereby avoiding common issues such as “edge polishing omissions” or “flat polishing depressions,” ensuring highly consistent gloss across the entire edge.  

【Automatic feed, no manual intervention】:

Principle: The system integrates wear detection functionality (e.g., displacement sensors). When the control system detects that the polishing wheel has shrunk in size due to wear, it automatically instructs the air-cushion device to advance a small distance.

Effect: The polishing wheel maintains optimal contact with the glass at all times, eliminating the need for manual adjustments by operators, thereby achieving true “unmanned” continuous production until the polishing wheel wears out and triggers an alarm for replacement.


【Flexible Protection, Extended Lifespan】:

Principle: When glass first contacts the polishing wheel, rigid collision can cause impact and scratches on the wheel's surface, accelerating wear. The “flexible” characteristics of the air-cushion system allow the polishing wheel to buffer and retreat before gently re-engaging.  

Effect: This significantly reduces abnormal wear on the polishing wheel, prevents surface damage caused by impact, and markedly extends the wheel's service life, thereby lowering consumable costs.
